Hi,
This is an Ephydrid from the area around Františkovy Lázně (Czechia), seen on 10th March, 2013. The wing venation recalls Parydra species, but the wings are hardly darkened, so only P. coarctata comes in my mind. However, I have absolutely no overview of all the species, so I'd better keep my mouth shut and let the experts speak Wink!
Thanks for any suggestions, Sundew

The large apical tubercle on the scutellum, with the absence of a strong black bristle on the mid coxa, indicate to me that this is P. coarctata

Great, I've scored a hit! My bold guess was based on https://www.spess...rydra.html. But now I am much smarter about the key features - thank you so much, dear Tony!
