Hello,

This hoverfly was also on a flowering plant along the side of the road in the Nockberge (Carinthia/Austria) at approx. 1700 m.

My guess is Parasyrphus annulatus.

or Syrphus ribesii?

Syrphus ribesii is probably correct because the legs are yellow and in Parasyrphus annulatus the tibia and tarsi of the anterior and middle pairs are yellow.
