Hello,

I photographed this fly on Monte Le Quartora (AQ), Italy, 1700m a.s.l. on June 20th 2023. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos? Unfortunately it flew away before I could take more pictures from other angles.

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Yes, that is a pity. There is very little to go on, any ID from my part would be highly speculative.

I imagined that, thank you anyway. If I'm not asking too much, I'd like your opinion regarding the Tachinidae in this discussion: https://diptera.i..._id=111381. I'm curious about its identity and I wonder if at least the genus can be confirmed.
