Hello, the many forms ("macho"/"non macho" and variations of Phasia and Ectophasia still confuse me. Currently Phasia hemiptera and Ectophasia crassipennis are abundant here (northwest Germany). But I can't readily assign this 8 mm fly from our courtyard to a species (clearly it's no P. hemiptera) and not even a gender. It shows some kind of 'M' character on the thorax, but otherwise is very different from Phasia aurigera. Can someone help me? Hallo Jürgen, I'd vote for female E. crassipennis.
Greetings, Eric |
