Hi all,
Here comes a Cordyla from Františkovy Lázně, Czechia, seen on 9.3.2015. First I thought of C. crassicornis, but M2 does obviously not reach the wing margin. In https://diptera.i...d_id=36340 #10 Bobby gave an excellent explanation of important characters, so I suppose I get to the same group of five species that then came into question. I am especially interested in C. insons - what are the chances that it could be this species? I have no Cordyla key, so I greatly appreciate any advice.
Thanks for help, Sundew

In thread https://diptera.i...d_id=97639, concerning a rather similar Swedish specimen, Paul considered C. styliforceps a possible option. According to GBIF, that species has a Mediterranean distribution, but who knows? Should I consider this species as well?
