Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, walking path along the rivulet Düpenau, bushes like Rubus, Corylus, Acer, Salix and other, at a metal crash barrier; length: 5.2 mm, 11th of May 2022. Photos: kuv.
Checking the Diptera.info ID inquiries (s. https://diptera.i..._id=107886) I think this fly could be Stegana mehadiae. Is this ok? Please help to get the ID.
Greetings Kuv

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
