Observed on Schneider's Dwarf Caiman (Paleosuchus trigonatus).

Rio Juruena, Nova Bandeirantes, Mato Grosso, Brazil. 7th September, 2019

Look similar to those in pat_der2003 post - https://diptera.i...d_id=72316

I would welcome confirmation of my identification as Phaeotabanus sp., possibly Phaeotabanus nigriflavus.

Getting at species level might prove a challenge, since the wing is not well visible. Next time, olease make a close-up SmileSmile
