IUCN published today the European red list Syrphidae.
A small flight for a hoverfly, a giant leap for Syrphidology !
Thanks to all the collegues who contributed.

It pays to be big, pretty, and diurnal. Many tiny, dull, nocturnal Forcipomyia are pollinators too.

That’s why we need to (start) talk(ing) about the reasons for this decline… if we tackle those for Syrohidae, we tackle those for Forcipomyia and other pollinators likely as well Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
