This week I found an adult on the wall of a bathroom, next to an inner courtyard of a house in Cambridge, UK. The genus is tentative, and suggested by Bennett Grappone at the iNaturalist entry: https://www.inatu.../125060312
But it is most likely a member of the Cecidomyiidae.

Have there been any similar observations in the UK?

Is the genus a good match for this specimen?

Thank you very much.

Thank you, indeed looks quite similar to a Lestodiplosis, e.g., https://bugguide.net/node/view/1399109
