Hi,
today I found this fast, small to medium sized black fly on a dead aspen in Saxony in Germany. Is species ID possible?
Thank you, Marion

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
