Mechernich-Satzvey (Germany), 22 April 2022. This little syrphid was covered with pollen inside a newly, but not yet fully opened tulip flower and found it very difficult to get out again. It succeeded only after a number of futile attempts. Is it possible to get closer to its ID in spite of the dusty cover? Perhaps Melanostoma or Platycheirus??? Thanks for your suggestions.
