Hi,

I have photographed this black fly in a meadow 40km west of Paris. I focused on the eyes and unfortunately most of the body is out of focus.
But it has a very unusual and very marked humpback so maybe it is a generic value.
The flower is a dandelion.
Any idea about its identity?
Thanks,
FRV

Hi FRV

It is aa Empididae s.l.
Hunchback fly is reserved for Acroceridae.
So change the title and wait for Empididologists
