Hello,

this fly is or has been the meal of a crab spider, probably Misumena vatia (two of the spider's legs can bee seen on the left side). From the pattern of the fly I would guess it is a Cheilosia.

Seen in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, Mülheim an der Ruhr, May 10th, 2021

Best regards,
Karola

Hi Karola, I think it's a female Platycheirus albimanus.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner
