This male Notiphila was collected the 2nd of June in Goes, the Netherlands. The specimen was not in really good condition, the dusting pattern on abdomen not visible. I hope someone can help!

The best I can suggest (based on genitalia morphology) is guttiventris, but it's tricky without a specimen - note there is some variation in the structure of the genitalia, and not always possible to be sure where a specimen belongs.

Do you agree with guttiventris? Or with the fact that it is tricky without a specimen?Smile

I agree with guttiventris but it is always best tobe able to examine the specimen. Wink

Thank you bothTumbsUp Have you seen specimens of guttiventris from the Netherlands, by the way? It is not officially on the Dutch list, I see.
Best wishes, Niels-Jan Dek
