Thanks to those who can help me to name this Drosophila, which could be a Hirtodrosophila.
Found on compost, South East of France

Difficult to tell. If you have the specimen, try to check if there is a row of spinules on the inner side of fore femora (characteristic for immigrans group).

Sorry, still not clear - the important part of fore femur is covered by the eye. I understand that it is difficult to photograph this character on a living fly.

is there no other element of identification? To the habitus, no other possible proposal?

I admit it could be D. immigrans, although the pattern of mesonotum is unusual. Slightly darkened tips of wing veins seem to suggest this determination. To support it more, we should see the spinules on fore femora (D. immigrans is the only European species with these structures). However, a possibility that it is an alien species (perhaps one of many alien spp. of immigrans group) is not excluded...
