Hi there,

Found this small fly (maybe 3 mm in length) on high grasses near a lake surrounded by forested areas. It was photographed near Bourg-en-Bresse, in the east of France.
It looks like it's from the Ulidiidae family but I am not sure.

Any idea on what this might be ?
