Hi,

Center of France (Loiret), on 12 august 2021, size < 1,5 mm.
The wing venation is similar to that of Megophthalmidia.
If correct is it possible to get species of that female ?
Thanks for help.

Hello Eugene, for me it looks more like one of Sciaridae (Bradysia?)
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
