The attached picture was taken in N Scotland on 23/09/07 at NH293128 by Jane Bowman. It has been suggested on very good authority that it might be Atylotus fulvus. Any opinions? We do know the potential significance of this determination.

It certainly looks like A. fulvus, although a rather worn one. It is a rather common fen species here in Fennoskandia.

In case you are not aware of the status in Scotland, it has not been recorded since 1923, and never in this area.
