These ant-like creatures (2 individuals) were found in a glass where I wanted to raise Myosotis (Forget-me-not) miners.
I assume the host was an Agromyza:

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Your parasitoid belongs to the Chalcidoidea, a superfamily with many families. In Myosotis there are several European Agromyzidae leaf miners: Agromyza abiens, A. myosotidis, A. pseudorufipes, Chromatomyia horticola, Phytomyza myosotica, P. pulmonariae. The puparium does not belong to Chromatomyia horticola.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
