This specimen was photographed on a wall in the middle of the village here in Yege, S. Spain. 12 June. Any help would be apprecited.

Thank you. So I had the right family! I could not find which genera are in Chrysomyiini. For some reason an internet search fails to find that term, but presumably it is part of Chrysomyinae. The hairiness of this fly seems to match Protocalliphora best, of which there are 2 species listed for Spain. It does look like P. azurea in general terms but I don't know what details to look for and there is very little on P. proxima on the internet.
