Hello,
today I found this fly on a dry slope near Furth im Wald, Bavaria, Germany. Is this the genus Beris?

Regards
Ingrid

Hallo Ingrid, I'm quite sure it's a female Actina chalybea (Red List 2 BY). Saw it in my garden again these days.
The prominent palps are an important character (Veldtabel wapen- en bastvliegen van Nederland, Menno Reemer).

Colouration of legs is unique for female Actina. So Eric is spot on.
