Hi all !

I found today this small fly on a leaf in an urban park width many trees, not far away a pond. I think it is a Chyliza and with this key I came to the conclusion it would be Chyliza annulipes. Do you agree with me ?

Found in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France on the 22nd of April 2021
Body length : ~4-5 mm

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
