Are the legs completely black? If so, it's probably H. variata (parafrontals almost touching)
from Ackland, Bentley, Brighton (2017): The British Anthomyiidae

Yes, legs are black (and grey dusted): very likely H. variata.

Are you sure about that? There seem to be small setae in the middle of the scutellum, which Hylemya shouldn't have. There seem to be 4 postsutural dcs, which would suggest Muscidae, and I am not seeing the pd setae on tibia 3, which Hylemya should have.
