Larval midge identification workshop, 23-25 June 2008 at Wakulla Springs (North Florida)
A larval midge (Chironomidae) identification workshop will be offered 23-25 June 2008 at Wakulla Springs (northern Florida). This course will emphasize Florida/Southeastern US taxa, but more can be covered depending on participants. The instructor will be Dr. J.H. Epler, author of numerous identification manuals for aquatic insects.

I have just received the very sad news that Peter Chandler has died after a fall at home yesterday. I have no other details at the moment. We shall miss him terribly.
