Diptera forum
May I remind every once again that this is a Diptera site. I have given the opportunity to post the occasional non-Diptera query but at times it seems that these are taking over, with Hymenoptera and spiders all over the place. I'd be happy to make some webspace available for someone wanting to do another dedicated site but, please, do not forget that this is foremost a Diptera site and that it should remain one.

Thank you!

news: Christian from hymis.eu is very interested to build an international forum for Hymenoptera. Grin
see below: "perhaps a person who is willing to help us can conctact Alexander (the webmaster of hymis.eu)
and me for some ideas and experiences with www.diptera.info. Perhaps it is
also possible to use a complete freeware forum from the www. We may create a
new site as (e.g) www.forum.hymis.eu to include the forum. Also, it will
probably be possible to invite some specialists for parasitic hymenoptera
and some more international orientated specialists to participate on the
forum. I will check diptera.info carefully in the next time to get some
ideas for the hymis forum."

It will be not a copy but it would be great, I think to know that diptera.info is a great reference not just to know more... but the kind/type of forum. Smile

Keep up the great work!!!

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
