This is an interesting Helina. I can't key it out. Probably in the consimilis/vicina/fratercula/simulatrix group, but none of these really matches this one (yellow legs + 3 post dc + ks 1:2 + abdomen spotted, etc.). To pursue...
Stephane.

Thank you so much Stephane.
I have several somewhat diffferent views. I can add them if you want.
What should be visible for ID?, or only genitalia?
I photographed this another fly in the same place but looks different species

I see all I need to see (unless you can show me if the radial node is setulose on ventral side of wing, I doubt). This is either an unknown species to me, or an aberrant specimen with only 3 post dc instead of 4, or with wrong femora colour...
Is the fly collected ?
Stephane.

I am seeing in my files I found another fly very similar photographed in the same place but a month later. It seems only different in color of the legs (less yellow).
Best regards,
Luis

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
