date: 24 August 2019; location: Lamington National Park, ca. 800 m high, at Binna Burra Lodge on a banksia flower together with golden-tailed spiny ants;
size: small, about 6 mm;
what bee genus and species? have no idea,

Hello Volker,

it's a female bee of the genus Hylaeus (Yellow-Face-Bees). Probably Hylaeus (Prosopisternon) littleri. Look at the small yellow markings in the face.
