Mating couple of small animals, maybe 5-6 mms, in semiopen, moist forest near degraded raised bog. Draved Skov, South Jutland, Denmark, 12 July 2020.

Thanks again, Igor. A Danish dipterist friend showed me that very same thread yesterday. I am happy to know that at least some people are knowledgeable on the fascinating Dolichopodidae!
