Hello,

I would like to ask the ID of this Tachinidae, photographed on Aug.18, 2020 in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
Wing venation is unique...not sure whether this is a Tachinid.
Any form of help is appreciated!

Specimen not collected.

This is very likely a Miltogramminae (Sarcophagidae).

Thanks for pointing out. I'll try not to confuse these species with Tachinidae.

It can be very tricky.

Some red flags, from a Tachinidae point of view
* abdomen very elongated and conical
* acrostichal bristles are lacking !!
* strong appendix to bend in vein M
* and of course in this case the silvery parafrontal.

Of course, these are rules of thumb. There are exceptions to all of them, but combined together.... a clear signal.
