Xu et al. mention "This species was originally described from Honshu and Shikoku in Japan. It is obviously a separate species based on flagellomeres 11–14 yellow and mesonotum brown with yellow stripes." The mesonotum does not seem to fit either, so it may be a diferent species. The pale spot on the seventh flagellomere is not mentioned in de description of septemtrionalis either, leving the comination of pale marking on flaghellomer 7 and yellow flagellomeres 12-14 a combination not mentioned in any of the known Southeastern Asian species, as far as I know.
