I tried to key this and ended up at S. setosa. not sure if it is correct tho.

It is a Siphona, so toss a coin is one of better ways to get an ID.
But I am not convinced of setosa, the dark spots are too small.
And I cannot assess the colouration of the tegula, which is very crucial.

Yeah I usually don't bother collecting the Siphona, but in the absent of other tachinidaes I decided to try this :D

I add a pic I think shows the tegula, however very bad quality when such small details.

So, this is from below, it is hardly visible. We can assess the colour from above and from front.

So I was thinking possible hokkaidensis, but that is a nono.

Third antennal segment is too short for setosa. And it is not geniculata either,. That leaves us with cristata. Golden vertex and 2e and 3e post DC closely together support this view, but shape of antenna is off. So I am very uncomfortable to call this one.
