Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tiny black fly on flower, possibly Empididae?

Dear all,

on 12th of June 2020 I found this approximately 3mm small fly on a Veronica flower in a meadow in the north of Berlin, Germany. In almost every flower there was sitting one of these. It seems they have some kind of straw to draw nectar from the flower?

Any help in identifying the species is very welcome!
