The picture was taken near the water fall Nam Tok Mon Tha Than in Doi Pui-Doi Suthep National Park in Northern Thailand 1st August 2019. Habitat: Hill Evergreen Forest.
Does any one know the species or just the genus?

Yes, that is a Tachinid and it is spectacular !!
A Tachinini, something like Mikia.
