Hello :)

Last night, I took photos of a small fly on common nettle which has several patches on each wing. After a few search, I think it is Meiosimyza decempunctata (which is also called Lyciella decempunctata in France). Is it possible to confirm the ID ?

Found in Rosny-Sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France, on the 22nd of May 2020.
Length : 3-4 mm without the wings.

Seems to be OK! - If you already have a guess, then use the "forum search" function - here: keyword "decempunctata", forum "Diptera (adults)" -, and sort "ascending" to get the older threads first. You will find lots of matching pictures! In the early times of the forum there was also more discussion and the important features of the species were often pointed out. The forum archive is an invaluable source of information, it cannot be recommended too often!

After reading other topics, I think that spots on wings are quite typical. Chetotaxy also seems OK.

Since the last time I saw other specimens on nettles. It seems to be common here.
