I feel I should know what this is. I'm sure I've recorded it before, but I cannot find the record now. Photographed today in my orchard, on sour cherry blossom. Touraine Loire Valley (lowland central France).

Otites porca Latreille 1804 (formerly O. jucunda). I have no reliable records of O. ruficeps (F. 1805) (formerly O. formosa Panzer 1796) in France except Lille and neibourhood. In the rest of France and in Italy it is replaced by O. porca.
