Hello,

a 4 mm fly (together with many smaller Drosophila) at a banana bait in our garden yesterday (northwest Germany).

Thanks a lot, Mark! That is interesting. It was bigger and more slender than any other Drosophila at the banana bait (mostly D. obscura group, see below), so I though it must have been something different...

Hello Jurgen & Mark-uk,

Drosophila funebris is the species in the first two pictures. It is a larger species than the D. obscura group specimen in the two pictures below.
