Very small fly no more than 3mm. Patterned wings often held upright. Found today at sea level. Coast just north of Durban, KZN, South Africa. Eating bird poop from a leaf. ?Tephritidae ??Ulidiidae.

I think it's Tephritidae based on the tip of the subcosta and white bristles on head. Platystomatidae have reduced fronto-orbital bristles.
