Year after year I have Germaria ruficeps in my garden in august, feeding om Pastinaca sativa. It´s rather common.
But Tschorsnigs key sais it´s rare. A search on this site gives one match (besides my own), and The Swedish Species Observation System (Artportalen) has zero reports (besidees my own).
Is it really rare?
It´s a rather big fly so it shouldn´t be overlooked, I think?
