Hello,
on 09.07.2018 this midge (body length: 6 mm) visited my flat in Germany, Saxony.
Is it possible to determine the genus?
Best regards,
Marion

It seems you don't have that genus in Europe. Antennae suggest tribe Aedini, but I don't know of any with a curved proboscis.

Thank you, John.
About 4 minutes before the other images I took this photo, where the proboscis is stretched out. The midge looks quite similar, unfortunately I cannot remember whether it was the same specimen.
