Mouth of Volturno river, Caserta - Italy, 9 June. Or maybe it is Eristalinus sepulchralis?

I would vote for E. sepulchralis. E. megacephalus should have yellowish markings on the second tergite.

Thank you. I thought it was Eristalinus sepulchralis too, but someone supposed E. megacephalus, and I was doubtful. And I have not dichotomous keys to distinguish between them with certainty

Is it possible to confirm Eristalinus sepulchralis as Piros suggested?

The female of E. megacephalus (https://diptera.i...to_id=7509 or https://www.bioli.../id192787/) looks much more colourful...
