Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Laphria for ID

Last Monday I go to high mountain (Batisielle's Lakes, abut 1800 meters high) to find some alpine insects. One of my objetives are find a Laphria. I found it, but... the fly don't let me approach very close and my camera made a striking white picture (always that are full sun, my camera make bad photos).
Well, but maybe is possible the identification...
This fantastic robberlfy sizes about 4 cm long. Habitat: alpine grassland with Rhododendron ferrugineum and rocks.
Could be IDed?

IS it Laphria ? Alpine and very large is often Pogonosoma maroccanum.
Just a suggestion

But I see different the images of Pogonosoma maroccanum that I found in the Google... more yellow at tibias, more hairy, no yellow on posterior side of thorax, different head, more elongated abdomen and less yellow...
Maybe Dysmachus can identify all these robberflies without name...

Pogonosoma has the tibiae and tarsi bright red.
So this must be a Laphria, so it seems.
