If these were in your garden, there are likely to be lots - in my experience they are the commonest mosquito that breeds in garden situations in Britain.

I think it is worth posting the first as Culex sp., though it's difficult to be absolutely certain of its identity - but it does show the typical resting pose of a culicine.
