Hi! I am not an expert, but I am fairly sure that this fly belongs to the family Chloropidae. Changing the title may attract the attention of specialists. (Nice pics otherwise!)

Chloropidae is true, and should be
Chlorops frontosus Meigen, 1830. Have a look at the link below please:

Bringing this old thread back, because reading von Tschirnhaus' description (linked above) - shouldn't this fly be
C. strigulus?
Aristal base is black (should be yellowish-brown in
frontosus)
Tergites laterally not yellow (yellow-black stripe in
frontosus)
Femora dark with yellow knees (yellow with black stripes in
frontosus)
I am bringing this up mainly because this photo has been added to gallery, labelled as
C. frontosus
