Male specimen collected in July 11, 2015 in Barron Co., Wisconsin, USA. At lights. 5 mm.

Need help with current taxonomy. The specimen keys to H. armipes (sensu Huckett 1954/1965), having a single spine on hind femur just past middle, eyes bare & no PD bristle on hind tibia. However, images of H. armipes here and some comments I've seen do not agree with Huckett.

As far as I can see it is H. floccosa Macquart, 1835

I had not reed till the end.
Yes, present H. floccosa = H. armipes sensu Huckett
end present H. armipes = H. occulta sensu Hucket (as well as sensu Hennig and Fonseca)
