Dear egg specialists,

I got a (none-expert) hint that these eggs could belong to Chaoboridae - can someone confirm this? Or aren't they determinable at all?

Many thanks!

Lennart

These are typical chaoborid eggs. I don't think any other family produces this flat spiral egg mass.

Thanks a lot Tony, for confirming this! Are there also differences known between the genera?

This circular egg mass is known for Chaoborus species. I believe that Mochlonyx lays its eggs singly.

Ok, good to know this, thanks again!
