SO, I studied the specimen.
It is the male of Scaptia (Pseudoscione) albipilosa.
Known only from the type locality..... Lake Habbema ! Sounds familiar ?
The other species of Scaptia (Pseudoscione) from 2000 m. is new to science. Need to work on that.
