Hi, jorge. It is desirable to know its body length. I try to suppose it is some close to weevils beetle of the family Rhinomaceridae or Anthribidae.
Best regards, Sergey

This is Mycterus curculioides, family Mycteridae (former part of Phytidae). We don?t have photos of this species - stop - we don?t have photos of this family in our beetle gallery. It is impossible to support us with this or similar photos? Best regards Frank

7 cm? Yo want mean 7 mm. Is true Mycterus, but the only exemplar of M. curculioides that I have seen was enterely black! Can be another species in same genus?

Thank you very much Jorge!

@Isidro: No, there are only two species in southwest europe, one with a long, and one with a short rostrum. What you have seen, could be a "senior specimen" ;-)
