8.2mm, damp grassland, eastern England, July 2012. Unfortunately rather greasy.
In Gregor:

Scutellum bare beneath

4 postdc

Anterodorsal seta on T3 < hind basitarsus

Femora black, apically paler

Pre-alar shorter than posterior np

Crossveins not infuscated

F3 without pv

T1 with 2 posterior setae

F3 with 4 distal av but no proximal avs

Helina quadrum? Dusted longitudinal stripes outside the postdc, not sure if yellowish or whitish, genitalia match, no illustration of ciliata though? Calypter more whitish than yellowish.

In Fonseca:

Hyopleuron bare

Rc node bare

Eyes < 2.5x width of flagellomere apart

T3 1 pd

Prealar < posterior np

F mainly dark

T2+T3 reddish yellow

Pre-alar distinct, no F3 pvs

T3 with 1 weak pd 1/4 from base.

Thanks Stephane. One of the rare occasions for me when one of these keys readily. No doubt the next specimen will be back to the drawing board!

Helina quadrum

Tibia 1 yellow – looks ok from the photo

Are there spots on tergites 3 and 4?, a shot of the abdomen would be really good for the gallery :)
I agree with Stephane on the ID

Hello Elisabeth

T1 coloured as T2 + T3

Abdomden greasy so appearance is misleading. Suspect unspotted? But quite impossible to be sure.
