Hi all,

Yesterday I saw this robberfly in the Netherlands. Can it be identified?
Size: medium sized, about 10 - 12 mm I guess. Landscape: dry heath with open sandy spaces.

Thanks,
Cor

Hello Cor,

this is a male of Dysmachus trigonus.

Thanks! Having gotten the name, I can see the description fits well....

Is this the female, then? (I'm new in flies, so totally unexperienced)
