Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Amauromyza (Cephalomyza) flavifrons

I think this must be a leaf-miner of some sort but I can't find anything in the gallery like it. I noticed that the two crossveins seem quite close together. Can anyone put a genus to it?

Probably male Amauromyza (Cephalomyza) flavifrons (Meigen, 1830), Agromyzidae.

Thanks Miloš. I did arrive at this species in the key, but was put off by the lack of pictures anywhere for such a distinctive fly, and the fact that it appears to be a Wales and Scotland species, not a London one
